Networking event in Morocco

VTŠ is widening its network of cooperating partners. Our International Relations Coordinator, Livia Szedmina, PhD, participated in a Training and Cooperating Activity held in Morocco at the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, March 4-7, 2024, under the title: “ERASMUS+ 2021-2027: Strengthening International Dimension in Higher Education”. We are grateful to the Tempus Foundation for enabling our College this opportunity.

The goal of this event was to make new contacts and networking with the future aim of joint project applications for Erasmus credit mobility. Our institution already has numerous partner universities, but we aim to apply for further mobility projects, increasing our international scope of cooperations. We hope to increase the number of incoming and outgoing student and staff mobilities, as well as outgoing student and staff mobilities.

The Moroccan university which acted as host during the event offered the participants a glimpse into studying and university life in Morocco, an experience which was gave us much new information. Also, the event featured workshops that would enable networking, meeting representatives of other universities and tips for planning new projects. It was an intensive meeting and discussion opportunity where we learnt about each others’ institutions, study programs, university programs, course structures.

As an extra insight into Moroccan life, the participants had an afternoon in the city of Marrakech, enjoying the sights, sounds and hubbub of the Souk in the Medina, the Medieval Oldtown. See the photos here:
